The Mercians are a group of Midlands-born indie rockers, who are bringing back the raw and unfiltered sound that the region is known for. The group provided sessions to both the Year 9 and Year 10 students. The sessions comprised of a live performance, followed by a talk about mental health
(as part of the PSHE programme) and then questions & answers, where pupils asked questions directly to the band about the talk or about their career. The session ended with a short meet and greet, where pupils could get a signed flyer. Pupils really enjoyed & embrace the experience.
